Alice in Wonderland ... Burtonized!

USAToday has a little article of Tim Burton's next project, Alice In Wonderland. From the photo above of Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter, this movie is going to be freaking creepy. Tim Burton's version almost suits how I would imagine Alice's trip down the rabbit hole. I confess, I've never watched the Disney version of Alice In Wonderland completely, only snippets but what little parts I did see as a child seemed weird to me. A talking caterpillar smoking a hookah on top of a mushroom and smiling teeth remaining as a cat vanishes..... a little nightmarish for child to understand. Which is most likely why I haven't sat down and watch the animated version. So will TIm Burton's movie be scary for children to watch? Probably. Will I go see it? Probably. Comes out March, 5 2010.
